    stuff i got

as i said in an earlier post, i got some things for christmas that ive really enjoyed and recommend. I usually do a list of recommended (silly) christmas gifts before christmas, but I was too busy this year. so here is a real list ;)

A very nice person bought me an aeropress coffee makerwhich I now use every morning. I don't really like regular coffee, but I love lattes. I have an espresso maker but its very big and takes a long time to use and clean. The aeropress can make either regular coffee or espresso, you just have to heat the water and/or milk. It takes me all of 5 minutes to make the latte and clean up, its the best. Plus it saves me a ton of $ on lattes at the coffee shop.

I have become addicted to Rosebud Salve. Its great for chapped lips -and- dry hands.

Blonde Redhead's album 23has been on heavy rotation on my ipod, its really great.

When I saw this item on Amazon I couldn't believe I hadn't already found it at target or bed bath & beyond. Deep Water Bathcovers up the overflow drain so you can fill your tub up pretty much all the way. I love to take baths always hated how I could only fill the bath up halfway. It has a hole at the top so you can't overfill your tub and the suction cups really work! I took a 2 hour bath (seriously, i had some reading to do) and only a minimal amount of water got into it, but it could have been from my faucet dripping into the hole at the top. It's currently out of stock, hopefully amazon gets some more. Theres a similar one called bottomless bathbut I can't vouch for it...

As a supporter of Barack Obama I thought it was probably wise that I read his latest book, The Audacity of Hope.I'd already read his first book Dreams from My Father, which I really enjoyed. I'm about halfway through The Audacity of Hope and its also very well written and has become extremely relevant and consistent with his current platform. If you are at all curious about Barack Obama and would like to learn more about his views I definitely recommend that you read this book. Or if you'd just like a look inside the workings of the senate and modern politics, its a very interesting read.

I have a few more things I may post soon.
